    Why should I take Antimalarials?

Malaria is a serious disease that is normally transmitted through the bite of a mosquito. If left untreated Malaria can be fatal. It is found in many different countries across the world, mainly in tropical regions including:

    • Large areas of Africa and Asia
    • Central and South America
    • Haiti and the Dominican Republic
    • Parts of the Middle East
    • Some Pacific islands

    Travel Vaccinations

Whether you are going away for the holidays or abroad for a business trip, if you are leaving the UK it would be wise to check if you need a vaccination against the possible diseases found in some parts of the world.

Children’s vaccinations given as part of the childhood vaccination programme do cover a number of diseases but not the majority of those found overseas.
