Whether you are going away for the holidays or abroad for a business trip, if you are leaving the UK it would be wise to check if you need a vaccination against the possible diseases found in some parts of the world.
Children’s vaccinations given as part of the childhood vaccination programme do cover a number of diseases but not the majority of those found overseas.
Our vaccination service and how it works
Many Kamsons pharmacies offer travel vaccinations that can be administered in the pharmacy. On registering your interest for this service our pharmacist will guide you through the completion of a simple questionnaire. They will liaise with one of our independent prescribers and inform you when we have received the prescription. The pharmacist can then arrange an appointment with you to administer the vaccine.
From completing the initial form to having your vaccination ready to administer we aim to complete the process in 1.5 working days. Please check with your local Kamsons Pharmacy whether they are offering this service.
