Dispensing of Medicines
We dispense NHS and private prescriptions and will give advice on how to get the most benefit from your medicines. We keep a comprehensive stock of medicines and use a fast and efficient wholesaler service to enable us to fill all prescriptions promptly.
Kamsons free delivery service can then make sure you are able to get your medication as quickly and conveniently as possible.
Prescription Collection and Delivery Service
Your Kamsons Pharmacy can collect your prescription from any medical practice in its area. We can also submit a prescription request for you. You can phone us or contact us, using the prescription ordering page on this website, to put in your prescription request for you. This may take a number of days to be received back from your doctor. Once we have received the prescription we will normally dispense it on the same day for you. If you would like to take advantage of our free prescription delivery service please contact your local Kamsons Pharmacy.
Medicine Containers
All medicines are dispensed in child resistant containers unless you request us not to. Please remember: Keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children. Our pharmacist can advise you on the safe storage of medicines.
If you have difficulty opening bottles or containers we can also assist by dispensing our medicines in a blister pack tray for ease and convenience. Please enquire at any of our branches for more information.
Medication Reminders
The Kamsons pharmacist can talk with the patient about ways to remember to take their medicines each day. In some cases, a reminder on the front of the fridge door, an alarm clock or a mobile phone alarm may be useful. For others, a medicines chart to tick off after they have taken their medicines could be the most appropriate. In some cases, the Kamsons pharmacist may be able to suggest to your prescriber an alternative medicine that may only need to be taken once rather than, for example, three times each day.
Some patients may decide to purchase pill reminder trays to put their tablets in. If so, your Kamsons Pharmacist can tell you if your tablets are suitable for such a container. For other patients their doctor may decide to prescribe their medication weekly. These can be dispensed by the pharmacy into a weekly blister pack and collected or delivered to the patient each week.

Dispensing to Care Homes
Kamsons Pharmacy provides a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to care homes. As well as the dispensing of medicines, Kamsons can advise care homes on the safe use, storage and disposal of medicines.
